Letter to Ron Paul supporters

Dear Ron Paul supporter:

I write this letter to support you. Without you I don't think Ron Paul would get as much media attention as he has. I imagine that you have a passion for this country that is difficult to extinguish. It is because of that passion that it is important to take a step back and make sure that passion gets directed in a productive way. The other candidates pay people with more experience than we have, so it is important that we remain effective. So let's just start with a few rules I think we all should follow.

1) Never be mean. Remember, it's the LOVE revolution. Either win them with love, or don't win them at all.

2) If people are mean to you, refer to first rule. Just because someone curses at you doesn't mean that it's right to curse back. Christians should cite Jesus "Turn the other cheek." Non-Christians could cite the example of Gandhi "Pocket the insult." Again, win them with love.

3) Arguments that they (especially neo-conns) will make against Paul, might actually be arguments for Ron Paul. Example:

RPS: Have you heard about Ron Paul?
NC: I don't think that he'll protect us from a terrorist attack.
RPS: I know it's horrible that our President didn't protect us from attack.
NC: It was the policies of Clinton that led us up to these attacks.
RPS: I agree both parties have failed us.

At this point you should be looking into changing the topic. This discussion may make the neo-conn very mad. Let the neo-conn say an angry piece, and stop the conversation or change the subject.

4) Stick to the message. If you think something outside of Ron Paul's message keep it to yourself when talking about Ron Paul. This is important! It's not about you, it's about peace and freedom.

5) Answer questions. If possible don't debate at all. I carry around Ron Paul cards and give them out to people that seem to think about politics. My policy is answer questions, but not much more. Name recognition is important at this stage. Later we can work on what people know about the name.

6) Don't argue against socialist programs. If someone says that government health care is important to them, it's over. The argument against socialism is very long. Unless you're trying to persuade your best of friends, forget it. If you can't help but argue against socialism, recommend a book instead. If you don't know a book to recommend, than you probably shouldn't argue against health care.

This is just my feeble attempt to unify a decentralized movement. Thanks.

This is a great video. Ron does the best at the end when he defends Gandhi and Martin Luther King. Neil Cavuto comes out as an uneducated fool though. Imagine if Neil was interviewing Martin Luther King.

Cavuto: Do you advocate breaking the law and going into white coffee shops.

King: Yes I advocate peacefully going into white coffee shops.

Cavuto: But if everyone could go into white coffee shops, then there wouldn't be any white coffee shops.

King: Then the people would have a government that represents them better.

Cavuto: But ... but ...

Why do Americans work two jobs when they used to work one?

I was reading Dan on liberty, a blog I like. It's takes a stance a little different form me but on one issue we agree, currency. The currency we use is not working for us. I'm glad that this issue was brought up.

There is only one presidential candidate that even discusses this important issue. You guessed it, Ron Paul.

The currency we use does take away from what your work could earn for you. In the very old days there was the check of gold to make sure that paper money had worth. There is a need to change this, and soon.

OK Americans get real; with 70% of Americans against the Iraq war there is no way that a pro-war republican will win the presidency. That means that, baring a third party candidate, the next president will be a Democrat or Dr. Ron Paul.

I’m a registered Republican, but the agenda of the now main stream Republican Party has left me out in the cold, shunning my better sense. In my heart I feel that I am without a real party that I can support. Then I noticed this guy, Ron Paul, who gives me hope for America and the Republican Party. I know that many of my friends have the same sense.

Without the revival that Ron Paul may bring, I believe we will witness the fall of the Republican Party. Yes, I really mean it. If not the fall of the Republican Party, we are approaching a period where they will be powerless and dormant. Is that what we want? Do we really want no check on the Democratic Party for the next four years? Not to slander the Democrats, they do represent a segment of the American populous. I offer for comparison, the effect of the unchecked Republican Party these past six years. Is the Democratic Party really the only choice that we have for next year’s election?

Ron Paul has had an extremely positive influence on our national debate. The fact that we are actually talking about the issues in a less emotional context is perhaps the second step in a healing process.

Americans, we are wounded. When the wound was inflicted we lashed back, trying to find the people we should point the finger or bomb at. We’ve been wounded, and with all the lashing out we haven’t had time to heal. To me, Ron Paul is offering the opportunity for us to heal. Dr. Paul, I’m proud to say that you have my vote.

This is a response to an article that was on the front page of The Houston Chronicle. It speaks to me in a very real way, I think her story explains how a lot of Americans feel or will feel.

I love Ron Paul because he broke the wicked spell that has hung over me since 9-11. I was in the twin towers having lunch at the restaurant at the top of the World Trade Tower just days before 9-11. All the staff I met were of course killed. I went around for years yelling "the sky is falling" just like Glenn Beck and Shaun Hannity. When Shaun and others said "they hate us because we are free", I believed it. THAT LIFE IS A LIVING DEATH!! Incessant HYPER-VIGILANCE is a living death!

2. We are now into huge debt to china to pay for this war.
3. We just marched into Iraq so we can just march out.

Today I truly chuckle chuckle chuckle when I hear they hate us because we are free. It's silly to imagine that I am wanted dead because someone hates my freedom. People have more important things to think about than Squashing American freedom. However, I understand now that as much as I hate this invasion of illegals into my country, I can imagine people in other countries do not care much for American occupation. The spell is broken! I have renewed hope in my life!! Life is good. People are good. Ron Paul is my hero!!!!
